Sapta's 'Roots: Circuitry' Is Due On 7 November With Seven Tracks Named For Seven Indian Places
The Goa-based live-electronica act's second ROOTS album arrives on Saturday with tracks named for Ziro, Leh, Jaipur, Mumbai, Madras, Kachchh and Kochi.

Sapta's Roots: Circuitry, the second album in a three-part series from the Goa-based electronic act, is due on Saturday, 7 November, with seven tracks that each name a place in India. The act's own website lists the running order, and its press page offers a pre-save link.
Marti Bharath founded Sapta in 2007 and leads it. It has made twelve studio albums, the latest being Roots, which came out on 7 July on Voyce Records, the label Bharath founded, according to its Beatport listing. Circuitry is Part II. Part III, Roots: A Global Generation, is dated 7 March 2027 on the same site. The act describes the first album as going inward and the second as going "outward, across the country".
The seven tracks
The site lists them with the state each belongs to:
- Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh
- Only in Leh, Ladakh
- Something About Jaipur, Rajasthan
- Retro Dreams For Mumbai, Maharashtra
- Future With Madras, Tamil Nadu
- Sands of Kachchh, Gujarat
- From Kochi, Kerala
Why every date is a seventh
Sapta is the Sanskrit word for seven, and the act's about page says the number runs through the project: seven-track albums, released on the seventh of the month. All three Roots dates follow it: 7 July, 7 November and 7 March.

Places the act has played
Sapta's live archive lists the Ziro Festival of Music in Arunachal Pradesh in 2022, the same year it played Magnetic Fields in Alsisar, Rajasthan. The album's opening track is named Ziro. The site says the live act is Bharath on synthesizers and electronics with Tapass Naresh on drums, and it lists no dates for the new album.
The act's press page carries Rolling Stone India and Wild City coverage of earlier albums. Also in Indie: the Jorhat Music Festival in Assam on 14 November, and the Indie page and News page have the rest.
