Hamza Malik And Zain Zohaib's 'Alfaaz' Takes No 1 On Spotify India, Ending 'Barsaat' At Five Weeks
Alfaaz reaches No 1 on Spotify's weekly India chart in its sixth week, and Sai Abhyankkar's Tamil song Veezha Veera from OM: Chapter 1 debuts at No 9.
"Alfaaz", by Hamza Malik with Zain Zohaib, is the most streamed song in India on Spotify this week. The weekly Top Songs India chart for the week ending Thursday, 29 October, moves it up one place to No 1. It is the song's first week at the top and only its sixth on the chart.
The place it takes belonged to Banjaare and Roni's "Barsaat", which spent five weeks at No 1 and is now No 2 in its 13th week. Banjaare still have two songs in the top five, because "Bairan" climbs two places to No 5 in week 35. Anuv Jain's "Arz Kiya Hai", from Coke Studio Bharat, holds No 3 in its 62nd week, and Navjot Ahuja's "Khat" rises two to No 4 in week 41.
New on the chart
"Veezha Veera", the Tamil version of the song from the Dhanush film OM: Chapter 1, enters at No 9. Sai Abhyankkar composed it, and Tippu and Arun Srinivasan sing it. The film opens on 20 November, and our report on the song's release has the details.
A second version of the chart-topper, "Alfaaz - Vocals", also comes in new, at No 33. Zain Zohaib has another song on the list too: "Ranjheya Ve" jumps 37 places to No 44 in its 88th week.
Moves in the top 40
Sai Abhyankkar's "Radhimaa", with Nargis Teji, Asma Teji and Vivek, slips two places to No 6, week 10. The "KALYANI" remix by ARJN with KDS, FIFTY4 and Shreya Ghoshal also drops two, to No 7 in week 17, and the story of how that remix travelled is on the site.

Anirudh Ravichander has three songs in the top 40. "One Name", with Super Subu, stays at No 18, while "Ala Bolelo" falls five places to No 21. "Putaapu Gang", with Thamizh Aadhavan, is up 13 to No 35 in only its second week.
Arijit Singh's "Mast Magan", from 2 States with Chinmayi, rises seven places to No 27 in week 61, its best position so far. "Samjhawan" gains two and sits at No 13, now 271 weeks on the chart.
