OM: Chapter 1 Releases 'Veezha Veera', Its Second Single From Sai Abhyankkar
Sai Abhyankkar's full 'Veezha Veera' follows a theme version released a month ago, ahead of the Dhanush film OM: Chapter 1 opening in cinemas on 20 November.

"Veezha Veera", the second single from OM: Chapter 1: Udhiram, The Blood Wood, is out, about a month before the Dhanush film opens on 20 November. Sai Abhyankkar composed it. He also sings and produced it. Arun Srinivasan wrote the Tamil lyrics, and Tippu shares the lead vocal with Abhyankkar, with Narayanan Ravishankar and Yogi Sekar on backing vocals. The lyric video out now is the Tamil version.
Listeners had heard part of it already. The song was first heard in the film's teaser. A shorter theme version of "Veezha Veera" was released roughly a month ago, and the producers say listeners asked for the complete song. This is that version, with an official video on YouTube.
How the soundtrack has rolled out
The first single, "Alaakaa Loova", was released on Dhanush's birthday and trended on social media for a while. Since then it has been one song at a time, each with a visual, counting down to the release.
Shraddha Agrawal, founder of RTake Studios and one of the film's producers, said in a statement that the response to the first single had been "incredibly encouraging". She added that the team wanted to "give audiences what they were asking for" by releasing the full version of the theme.
The press material calls "Veezha Veera" a high-energy track. The poster that came with it shows Dhanush holding a rifle in the rain, with the release date printed on it.

The film
OM: Chapter 1 is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. His last film was Amaran. Dhanush was last on screen in Kara, Vignesh Raja's action thriller. Dhanush and Mammootty lead the cast, with Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela, Naseeruddin Shah and Indrans in key roles. It is presented by RTake Studios and produced by Wunderbar Films, with Shraddha Agrawal, Dhanush and Azmat Jagmag as producers. Sreyas Srinivasan and Sandesh Agrawal are co-producers, and Vishu Ramaswamy is the creative producer.
It is going out as a multilingual release, so the songs will have to work in more than one language. The makers have not announced a schedule for the rest of the soundtrack. The film is in cinemas on 20 November.
