Ramayana Album Out In Five Languages, Anirudh And DSP Sing Ravana
T-Series released the Ramayana soundtrack on Wednesday, two weeks before Part 1 opens, with Anirudh singing the Tamil 'Ravana Thandavam' and DSP the Telugu one.

The Ramayana soundtrack is out. T-Series released the five-track album on Wednesday, 21 October, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, a fortnight before Ramayana: Part 1 reaches cinemas on 5 November.
It is a short record. Three songs and two instrumental themes, about 16 minutes in all. A.R. Rahman composed the songs. The themes are credited jointly to Rahman and Hans Zimmer, who share the film's music.
The songs
"Jai Jai Ram" opens the Hindi album and is its longest piece at 5:20, sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. Vishal Dadlani takes "Ravana Tandav". "Sita's Aspiration" is sung by A.R. Ameen, Vaishali Samant, Rakshita Suresh and Antra Nandy. Kumar Vishwas wrote all the Hindi lyrics. The two instrumentals are an orchestral version of "Jai Jai Ram" and the "Rama Theme".
Neither of the first two songs is new to fans. "Jai Jai Ram" and "Ravana Tandav" were already out as singles, and the label released the composers' trailer theme as a digital single in August.
Composers at the mic
In the language versions, Rahman handed the mic to other composers. He gave the Tamil "Ravana Thandavam" to two composers who usually run their own sessions. Anirudh Ravichander and G.V. Prakash Kumar sing it together, with lyrics by Ilango Krishnan. The Tamil single came out on 20 October.
"Grateful to have sung the Shiva Tandava sthothram #RavanaThandav for my dearest @arrahman sir in #Ramayana along with my brother @gvprakash," Anirudh wrote on X.

The Telugu version went to Devi Sri Prasad. It is the first time he has worked with Rahman, and he announced it on 22 October. "Happy to have sung this song #RavanaThandav in the MUSIC of ISAIPUYAL @arrahman Sir," he posted, adding that he was "Honoured to be a part of this Magnificent Project".
So the villain's anthem has three of the South's busiest composers on it, and each regional version has a name of its own to sell. The film opens in five languages on the same day.
The film

Yash also co-produces through Monster Mind Creations, with Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios and the visual effects company DNEG. The epic comes in two parts. Part 1 opens worldwide on 5 November, and Part 2 is due at Diwali 2027.
