Gorillaz To Burna Boy: International Concerts In India Till March
Six international concerts are confirmed for India till March, three of them on one Mumbai race course within nine January days, with dates, venues and tickets.

Between tonight and the end of March, at least six international headliners or festivals have confirmed dates in India, and more than a dozen of the acts on those bills have never played here. January is the crush. Mahalaxmi Race Course alone has Lollapalooza on 23 and 24 January and Foo Fighters on the 31st, while Gorillaz play Bengaluru and Mumbai in between.
Here is the list, in date order, with only what the promoters have confirmed.
1. Max Richter, 24 October, Mumbai
The German-born British composer plays his first India concert tonight, at the Grand Theatre at NMACC in Bandra Kurla Complex, with the American Contemporary Music Ensemble. Tickets started at Rs 2,750 on BookMyShow. Mumbai is the first stop of a short Asia run that moves on to Tashkent on 27 October.
2. Rolling Loud India, 12 and 13 December, Mumbai
Burna Boy, Metro Boomin, Skepta and Big Sean make their India debuts at the hip-hop festival's second edition, announced on 19 October, and Karan Aujla headlines the Sunday for a second year. More than ten of the 30 acts have Indian roots. The venue has not been named. Tickets start at Rs 5,500 on District, where buyers can pay half now and the rest by 20 November.
3. Lollapalooza India, 23 and 24 January, Mumbai
Live Nation announced the fifth edition's bill on 3 September. Olivia Dean, Limp Bizkit, KATSEYE and Fontaines D.C. headline, with 5 Seconds of Summer, St. Vincent, Steve Angello, Rachel Chinouriri, and Stewart Copeland with Ricky Kej further down. Ten acts on the bill are making their India debuts, the headliners among them. Fontaines D.C. arrive with a new album, Dopamine Chamber, out since 16 October. Tickets are on BookMyShow.
4. Gorillaz, 23 January Bengaluru, 27 January Mumbai
The virtual band, fronted on stage by Damon Albarn and a live band, plays India for the first time on The Mountain tour. District Arena @ Terraform in Bengaluru gets the first night, the same Saturday as Lolla's opening day, and Jio World Garden in BKC gets the second. The Mountain was recorded partly in India, in Mumbai, New Delhi, Jaipur, Rishikesh and Varanasi, and features Asha Bhosle and Anoushka Shankar. District has said several of the album's Indian collaborators will join the shows as guests. Tickets are on District only. Mastercard holders had a presale in April before general sale opened on 18 April, so this one has been on sale longest of the January shows.
5. Foo Fighters, 29 January Bengaluru, 31 January Mumbai
Dave Grohl's band plays India for the first time in more than three decades of touring, at Bengaluru LIVE on the 29th and Mahalaxmi Race Course on the 31st. BookMyShow Live produces both as full-day shows. The Pretty Reckless and Die Spitz play both cities, with Pinkshift and Alain Johannes in Bengaluru and Mali and Still In Therapy in Mumbai. Tickets are on BookMyShow only, with a limit of ten per person. General sale opened on 16 June, and children aged five and above are allowed in with a ticket.

The festival is co-produced by HYBE INDIA and BookMyShow. Presale opens on 27 October and general sale on 30 October.
The squeeze
Count the January nights. Between 23 and 31 January, Mumbai has Lollapalooza twice, Gorillaz once and Foo Fighters once, and Bengaluru has Gorillaz and Foo Fighters six days apart. Two different ticketing platforms are selling them, District for Gorillaz and Rolling Loud, BookMyShow for Foo Fighters and Weverse Con.
Rolling Loud's refund window on District closes on 1 December. The next ticket date on this list is 27 October, when the Weverse Con presale opens.
