Diljit Dosanjh Plays Delhi On Friday: Roads Around JLN Close From 1 PM, No Public Parking
Delhi Traffic Police has set curbs around Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from 1 pm to midnight on Friday, when Diljit Dosanjh opens the India leg of his Aura tour.

Diljit Dosanjh opens the India leg of his Aura tour at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on Friday, 30 October, and anyone driving through Lodhi Colony that afternoon should think again. Delhi Traffic Police issued its advisory on Wednesday evening: restrictions around the stadium run from 1 pm to midnight, and there is no parking for the general public at or near the venue.
The curbs cover Bhishm Pitamah Marg, Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg between the Defence Colony and Lodhi Colony flyovers, Arch Bishop Marg, Fourth Avenue Road and Fifth Avenue Road plus internal roads in the CGO Complex and Lodhi Colony. More diversion points could be added on the day if traffic builds.
Getting there
The police want concertgoers on the Metro. The Violet Line stops at JLN Stadium and Jangpura. From the Yellow Line, the advice is to get off at INA or Jor Bagh and take a ride towards the Kushak Nallah Bus Depot red light.
Cabs, autos and app taxis have three drop and pick-up points, according to the advisory as reported by The Economic Times. Arch Bishop Marg and Lal Masjid in Pragati Vihar serve Gates 13, 14 and 17. The Kushak Nallah Bus Depot point serves Gates 3, 6 and 8. The only parking listed is a limited allocation for special invitees at Sunehri Pula Bus Depot and the Dayal Singh College lot.

A week of back and forth
The show nearly did not get here. It was first announced for 1 November and moved to 30 October earlier this month. Last Thursday, police permission was held back, and on Friday BookMyShow Live, which produces the tour, said it had been reconsidered and issued. Officials said the clearance came with conditions on private security staff and crowd management, as we reported in our story on the Delhi permission.
After Delhi, the tour goes to Indore on 15 November, Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 21 November, Mumbai on 27 November, Bengaluru on 29 November and Lucknow on 5 December. Chandigarh is on the list without a date. The full run is in our guide to Indian music dates before the new year, and more live news sits on the News page.
