Maatrubhumi's Six Songs, Five Composers: Who Made What On Salman Khan's Soundtrack
Himesh Reshammiya composed three of the six Maatrubhumi songs so far. Ayaan Lall, Shamir Tandon with Kumar Gaurav Singh, and Sajid Khan made one each.
The Indian Express counted five songs from Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace when "Teri Sexy Beauty" came out on Wednesday, 4 November. The label's own channel and the streaming listings show six, because "Mera Jee Nahi Bhara", out on 9 April, is not in that count. The film still has no announced release date, and the songs have been arriving since January.
Going by the credits in each upload description on the Salman Khan Films Music channel, this is how the six break down.
Song by song
- Title track, 24 January. Himesh Reshammiya composed it, Sameer Anjaan wrote it, and Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal sing it, with Master Mani Dharamkot. Meghdeep Bose arranged and produced it.
- "Main Hoon", 14 February. Ayaan Lall composed it and sings it with Ghoshal. Shabbir Ahmed and Lall share the lyrics.
- "Chand Dekh Lena", 18 March. Reshammiya composed it, Anjaan wrote it, and Nihal Tauro and Ankona Mukherjee sing it.
- "Mera Jee Nahi Bhara", 9 April. Shamir Tandon is the composer in the description, and the artwork and the Apple Music listing add Kumar Gaurav Singh. Tandon wrote the lyrics with Vishwadeep Zeest. Ghoshal and Vishal Mishra sing it.
- "Jai Hind", 20 October. Reshammiya composed it, Anjaan wrote it, and Stebin Ben sings it.
- "Teri Sexy Beauty", 4 November. Sajid Khan composed and wrote it. Salman Khan and Muskaan sing it, with Sajid Khan on additional vocals.
The dates for "Main Hoon", "Chand Dekh Lena" and "Mera Jee Nahi Bhara" match their Apple Music listings. The title track's is the day its video went up on YouTube, in IST. Ghoshal also released a reprise of "Main Hoon" on 28 May, which is not counted here as a separate song.
Who is on more than one
Reshammiya's three songs share a lyricist in Sameer Anjaan and the same production line: Bose arranged and produced all three, and Salman Shaikh mixed and mastered them at Reshammiya's studio. The three songs by the other composers each carry their own production credits.
Ghoshal is the only singer on more than one of the six, with three. Salman Khan's own voice appears on one, "Teri Sexy Beauty", which the Indian Express calls his first playback song in 11 years.

The credit "A Himesh Reshammiya Musical" appears in the descriptions for the title track, "Chand Dekh Lena", "Jai Hind" and "Teri Sexy Beauty". The descriptions for "Main Hoon" and "Mera Jee Nahi Bhara" do not carry it. In the case of "Teri Sexy Beauty" the banner sits above a composer credit that names Sajid Khan alone.
