HYBE reported record third-quarter revenue of KRW 1.5257 trillion and operating profit of KRW 188.5 billion on 3 November, and India was among the markets it highlighted: a Weverse Con Festival in New Delhi in March that sold out in 90 minutes, and a localised artist project for the Indian market.

Both figures beat the records HYBE set in the second quarter, Variety reported, and operating margin was 12.4 per cent. Concerts did most of the work. They brought in KRW 726.8 billion, as BTS played Europe and North America to about 70,000 people a show. Merchandise and licensing set a quarterly record of KRW 334.55 billion, according to Digital Music News. Net profit fell 89.7 per cent from the previous quarter to KRW 11.33 billion, which chief financial officer Lee Kyung-jun put down to foreign-exchange losses on cash reserves, a non-cash accounting item, the same outlet said.

The India dates

Weverse Con Festival India runs on 27 and 28 March 2027 at the Outdoor Expo Site, Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, the first edition outside South Korea. HYBE INDIA and BookMyShow Live are co-producing it. PTI reported on 30 October, citing the organisers' statement, that all five ticket categories sold out within 90 minutes of general sale opening. The Hindu BusinessLine added that a Mastercard pre-sale had cleared the five Day 1 categories in under 20 minutes.

Our festival report has the lineup. ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM and TXT lead it, with Indian acts including King, Gini, RANJ X CLIFR, Reble and DJ Zelo. Lara of KATSEYE is on the bill as a solo act.

The local project and KATSEYE

Variety reported that HYBE is moving ahead with a localised artist project for India. No details were given. Digital Music News said management also pointed to KATSEYE headlining Lollapalooza India in January. The group's EP Wild reached No 1 on the Billboard 200, and it has sold out 31 shows in 27 cities across Europe and North America, Variety said, before an 11-city arena tour of Asia and Oceania from January 2027.

Lollapalooza India is on 23 and 24 January at Mahalaxmi Race Course, Mumbai, and Weverse Con Festival India follows two months later. Other K-pop dates for the country are in our India K-pop calendar, and more label and money stories are on Business.
